Hi, I'm Erica!
I’m an animation producer and digital artist based in Los Angeles, California.
I believe all creative work is strongest when it’s artist-first. I might be a bit biased: I grew up drawing Warrior Cats on scratch.mit.edu, playing piano, and watching animations like Over the Garden Wall and Gravity Falls. That early love for creativity is something I’ve carried with me, and I’m deeply curious about how different artists think and work. I love cultivating collaborative environments where people are excited to share ideas for projects and build off one another, while also feeling comfortable sharing their personal fascinations.
I constantly fuel my creative spirit during my tri/bi/weekly Strava runs around the neighborhood. As an animator, I’m always eager to see ideas in action as quickly as possible. Some of my favorite filmmakers like Masanobu Hiraoka and Satoshi Kon proving artist-led small teams can create powerful work.
Additionally, I have worked as a lead Resident Assistant and camp counselor for teens (notoriously one of the toughest groups to impress!).  Shaping how I approach fast-paced creative teams today, it taught me that when you treat everyone with respect and curiosity, they will reciprocate, making it so much easier to maintain structure and lift morale when it matters most.
When I’m not drawing, I’m listening to experimental rock, drinking chai, or playing indie RPGs. I’m currently dual majoring at the University of Southern California in Animation at the School of Cinematic Arts and Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business.
